April 2012 Update!

HEY EVERYONE!

The last few months have been a roller coaster ride at Jay Company Comics.  We kicked off the year with promoting the AMAZING ARIZONA COMIC CON, and then bounced back to promote the IMAGE COMIC EXPO.  Our goal with the convention promotions is much like our retail philosophy in that we want to connect fans with the creators that they love, with special editions, limited variants, and other exclusive premiums becoming new highlights for their collections.  I think we have achieved those goals, and are already planning a big follow-up to those conventions with new events being planned for 2013.

While promoting these comic con events, we set up retail booths at these shows, as well as WONDERCON earlier in March.  At these conventions, we acquired a number of exclusive con swag that would make your heads spin- from the hot WALKING DEAD 94 Machonne variants to the Grimm Fairy Tales/Zenescope Limited Editions to LADY MECHANIKA premiums from Aspen and hot IMAGE COMICS exclusives from Chew, Glory, and more

At these special Comic Con events, the staff at JayCompanyComics.com worked hard in building back the various AUTOGRAPH sections of the site back up.  Keep checking back for new books by Robert Kirkman, Marc Silvestri, J Scott Campbell, Ebas, and more.

The Comic Con Circuit will be continuing for JayCompanyComics.com to close out March with the EMERALD CITY COMIC CON.  The show takes place this Friday-Saturday-Sunday, March 30, 31, April 1 in downtown Seattle.  We will be set up at booth #612, so please drop by and say HI.  For more information on the comic con, such as guest list, show hours, venue, programming, please visit the official site at http://www.EmeraldCityComicCon.com

Wizard World Chicago - 2011

Hey Everyone!
 
JayCompanyComics.com will be returning to the Windy City this week, as the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con takes place Thursday evening August 11 through Sunday August 14.  While you can find official information at www.WizardWorld.com, the JayCompany booth placement has not been finalized at the time of this article.  Your best bet is to look for our signature set-up, and the Giant signs that read JAY COMPANY COMICS.  Our Comic Con presence may often be imitated but NEVER duplicated, you will find Bill and Jimmy smiling and greeting fans with great deals on the best product.
 
In addition to having a full selection of best selling graphic novels, the hottest variants and a giant wall of key back issues, JayCompanyComics.com will has debut several new Limited Edition books exclusive to the comic con.
 
The First batch of Exclusive Comics is THE INFINITE.  Written by Robert Kirkman, with pictures by Rob Liefeld, this book is the action adventure epic you would expect to see from the creators of The Walking Dead and Deadpool!  JayCompanyComics.com will have the new variant cover, complete with RUBY RED Foil available at the Wizard World Chicago.  Limited to only 1000, these are a can’t miss item.
 
JayCompany will have a full selection of The Infinite including the sold out 1st issue, and the perfect for conventions- blank variants, along with the retail incentive covers and the Todd McFarlane short print sketch.  We will also stock the puzzle piece, connecting cover exclusives from the Lone Star Edition to the Beach Ball version, Larry’s Comics Regional Store, and the JayCompany Exclusive Bo.
 
And of course with Wizard World Chicago, JayCompanyComics.com will have new exclusive bad girl books!  Look for the Naughty and Nice versions of the GRIMM FAIRY TALES #30 Exclusive.  While the Naughty Black & White Sketch version by EBAS was a shared variant from both San Diego and Chicago Comic Cons, color versions of Naughty and Nice are available limited to 100, and 500, respectively.
 
If you can’t make it to the show, the EBAS Exclusive Variants for Grimm Fairy Tales will be available to ship IMMEDIATELY following the comic con.
 
JayCompanyComics.com will also have a full assortment of the 2011 San Diego Comic Con International Exclusives available as well, from the trio of sexy Armando Heurta covers for Witchblade, Cavewoman, and Penny for your Soul to the Mike Debalfo artwork found on the Grimm Fairy Tales #1 LV Special, and other Grimm Fairy Tales/Zenescope variants.  Further, Aspen’s Lady Mechanika will be represented as well as Fathom and Soulfire.

Comic Con International 2011

Hey Everyone!

 

Summer is a busy time for JayCompanyComics.com- we came off a great spring season of shows, but for the last 5 weeks we’ve been literally working around the clock prepping for the “Big Dance”, Comic Con International San Diego.  To further put things in perspective, Comic Con is the SUPERBOWL for all of pop culture.

 

We’re happy to announce that JayCompanyComics.com will have the biggest NEW BOOK dealership at the Biggest Convention in the world! If you’re lucky enough to have scored a ticket to SDCC, please stop by one of our *3* DIFFERENT locations on the show floor.  Bill Jay and the sparkling gals of ComicConGirl.com will be at our traditional “table 1” location on the main middle aisle of the Comic Con floor, at booth #423.  Jimmy S. Jay will be at the “T-2” location only a few aisles away at booth #937.  The JayCompanycomics.com crew will also be manning  “T-3” location, which will have some of the very best deals on the Comic Con floor, at #331. 

 

Be sure to look for brand new Blue and Orange JAYCOMPANYCOMICS.com signs over each booth as our set-up is often imitated but never duplicated!

 

On the San Diego Comic Con main hall floor, at the *3* locations #423, #931, and #331, we will have  15 JayCompany Convention Limited Variants (see below);  over 15,000 back issues; and 3,000 of the best selling hard covers and trade paperbacks.  If you don’t immediately see what you are looking for, please ask as we will be aggressively restocking each and every day of the comic con. San Diego Comic Con is the venue known for the most diverse group of Comic Con Exclusives.  From the follow-up to the DEATH OF SPIDER-Man in the Ultimate Comics Fallout #1SDCC to the new WALKING DEAD Zombie Variant Photos, Licensed books liked Joss Wheadon’s Dollhouse and IDW’s Godzilla.  JayCompanyComics.com is dedicated in brining a HUGE selection of the finest variants and limited comic books from the comic con and making these available to fans around the world.  We have a number of these products already loaded on our site, with more coming over the next several days.  Look for the J. Scott Campbell Premium Sketchbooks, The Infinite by Robert Kirkman & Rob Liefeld, and more.  We suggest you check in often, as we add these products, but we suggest placing orders as quantities of all Comic Con Exclusives will be VERY limited.  Sell outs will happen quickly.

 

The San Diego Comic Con also marks the time when JayCompanyComics.com releases a great selection of our hot line of “Convention Limited Editions”.  Zenescope and Grimm Fairy Tales are represented with their very best artists commissions for JayCompanyComics.com covers;  Mike Debalfo creates a sexy NEW cover for the Grimm Fairy Tales #1 LV Special, limited to only 500, with Gothic Lolita and Sketch versions limited to 100 each.  We also just added a new cover for Grimm Fairy Tales #30 by Ebas.  This “All Girl Pool Play” variant is currently available as SKECTH version limited to just 100.  We have also included two MUSEUM EDITIONS to the GFT mix- one for the SDCC Party Bus Exclusive by Mike DeBalfo, and the classic Naughty Version of Ebas’ Grimm Fairy Tales #57.  These books are Limited to just 25 hand numbered books, yet we are offering these at a SPECIAL PRICE in conjunction with their premiere at the San Diego Comic Con.

 

JayCompanyComics.com also creates new covers for the other best Bad Girls represented at the San Diego Comic Con, starting with WITCHBLADE.  Here, Good Girl Pin-up king Armando Huerta digitally paints a sexy new Witchblade piece for WB #80, with several versions available.  Huerta doesn’t stop there as he also creates Comic Con covers for Big Dog Ink’s Penny for Your Soul, and Bud Root’s Cavewoman.  Look for short print limited editions for each title.

 

The Bad Girl Exclusives of Comic Con don’t end there though.  JayCompanyComics.com will be carrying all the official releases from the major studios.  ASPEN COMICS will have new covers for their Executive Assistant Series, but we’re definitely thrilled with the new LADY MECHANIKA #2 variants.  ZENESCOPE has several new Grimm Fairy Tales variants for the Dream Eater Saga, all which will be stocked in limited quantities.

PHOENIX COMIC CON 2011

JayCompanyComics.com is coming back to Arizona with the 2011 Phoenix Comic Con!
The Memorial Day-marathon event takes place starting Thursday May 26, and runs through Sunday May 29. JayCompanyComics.com will be located on a 2 booth endcap, exhibitor space #317, 416.  If you are coming to the event, please be sure to stop by and say to the JayBrothers, along with our good pal Mat Nastos, who will be joining us as well.
 
Like always we will be bringing our signature brand of excellence to the comic con.  From DC Comics we will have the big summer blockbuster FLASHPOINT, along with the hard to find spin off titles.  War of the GREEN LANTERNS, the hot ACTION 900, and the DARK KNIGHT will be there too.  Marvel Comics leads off with FEAR ITSELF, along with the new FF and THOR relaunches.  Be sure to get your DEATH OF ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN issues signed by convention guest Stan Lee, and those special books by Todd McFarlane.
 
Other highlights from the JayCompanycomics.com comic con display include the MAMMOTH WALL of best comics in the modern age, which include a ton of variant from your favorite titles and premium key issues.  At the JayCompany booth, there will be an extensive inventory of over 3,000 recent back issues, easily sorted A-Z, all at less than cover price. And of course, there will be HUGE display of hard covers and trade paperbacks, many of which will be on sale at the event.  These aren’t book store remainders or overstock items, but the best and most requested titles from Walking Dead, Blackest Night, Batman, Old Man Logan, Deadpool and that’s just the tip of the iceburg.
 
The fans of Phoenix Arizona love their bad girls, and this comic con wouldn’t be complete with our deep selection of Top Cow, Aspen, Zenescope and more.  JayCompanyComics.com will also have our newest exclusives from the event including a special GRIMM FAIRY TALES #50 with sexy new cover by guests of the con EBAS & NEI RUFFINO.  Gothic Lolita and Naked Pencil Micro Premium versions will also be offered, both of which are limited to less than 100.  We will also be bringing out our recent PENNY FOR YOUR SOUL #6 PIRATE’S BOOTY Convention Special.  Limited print run versions of the “Risque Sunset” and Nude versions will also be available; all of which can be signed by the creators at the Big Dog Ink booth.

WonderCON 2011

Hey everyone!
 
The 2011 Comic Con season is full tilt this spring as JayCompanyComics.com will be headed up to WONDERCON in San Francisco this coming weekend.  The Comic Convention takes places April 1-2-3, 2011 at the Mascone Center in downtown SF.  JayCompanyComics.com at the heart of the exhibitor room at booth #823, located on the main aisle.
 
Like always JayCompanyComics.com has the freshest selection of best books in the business.  New Comics: from the DEATH of the Fantastic Four, to all things BATMAN the Dark Knight, to the new VENOM series, and those hard to find IMAGE COMICS series like Morning Glories and Carbon Grey.  As for Graphic Novels, Hardcovers, and TPBs, we’re deep in WALKING DEAD, the big DC mega-crossovers like GREEN LANTERN and Blackest Night, and have a ton of Marvel books on sale from CAPTAIN AMERICA to THOR and more.  Back issues are well represented with nearly 5,000 individual books in Alphabetical order with show special pricing.  And like always, JayCompany will have GREAT WALL of KEY ISSUES that spans 10 feet high by 20 feet across.

Comic Con Season Kick-Off!

Hey Everyone!

it’s been a while since you’ve received a direct email from JayCompanyComics.com.  We’ve hope you all had a super Thanksgiving, and that this Holiday Season is a great one for you and your family!

We’ve been gearing up to close out 2010, and enter the New Year immediately with a new project: THE AMAZING ARIZONA COMIC CON.  The show takes place January 8th and 9th at the Mesa Convention Center, in the Phoenix area.

This is the very FIRST Comic Con of 2011, kicking off the convention circuit.  It is being promoted from start to finish by JAY COMPANY COMICS.  That means in addition to just exhibiting at the convention itself we’ve booked the hall, secured a hotel block, sold exhibitor spaces, and brought in the guest list...

And this Guest List is something that is really stands out as it is jam packed with our personal favorite creators working in comics today.

*THE WALKING DEAD’s creator ROBERT KIRKMAN headlines the event, along with the cast members for the hot TV Show:  Jon Bernthal- the actor who portrays SHANE, and Steven Yeun- the fan favorite GLEN.

*DEADPOOL-PALOOZA: 
Deadpool’s Daddy- ROB LIEFELD will signing and sketching all weekend.  We’ve also brought in Deadpool writer VICTOR GISCHLER and current Deadpool Corps Artist MARAT MYCHAELS.

*MARVEL VICE PRESIDENT, and Lead Writer- JEPH LOEB will be at the show on Saturday.  He will introduce the world to the new IRON MAN ANIME TV Series that will air later this year on G4, and showcase some of the other Marvel TV Projects including a new episode of Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

*ASPEN COMICS will be the AMAZING ARIZONA COMIC CON in full force: JOE BENITEZ and PETER STEIGERWALD will be there there with LADY MECHANIKA #1, and the Aspen favorites Frank, Vince, Mark Roslan will join them, meeting and greeting the fans.

*IMAGE COMIC CREATORS- in additon to Robert Kirkman and Rob Liefeld mentioned above, RYAN OTTLEY and COREY WALKER of INVINCIBLE will be available for commissions and autographs.  JOHN LAYMAN from the Eisner Award winning CHEW will have a booth there.  RICHARD STARKINGS of Elephant Men, and Firebreather creator ANDY KUHN.

Also there will be a debut of NEW Image title called HEX THE LOST TRIBE- this marks a return to comics by Top Cow alums KEU CHA (Witchblade & Rising Stars) and JOE WEEMS.  We’ve see preview art to this book, and it looks gorgeous.

And what Fan Fest Convention would be complete if the JayCompany didn’t invite the best BAD GIRL Comic creators out to the event?!

*ZENESCOPE will be at the Amazing Arizona Comic Con in full force.  Writer Raven Gregory, cover king EBAS, color extrodinare NEI RUFFINO, fan favorite MIKE DEBALFO and more will be at the booths, along with a slew of show variants.

*PENNY FOR YOUR SOUL will be represented not only by creator Tom Hutchins but he’s bringing out some of the artists for the break indy hit.  He will have copies of new Penny variants, along with some other surprises.

*LADY DEATH’s new series is making its debut and creator BRIAN PULIDO will be making an appearance as well.

So why are we sending an email blast to the loyal customers of JAY COMPANY COMICS?  This is an extention of our business and we wanted it to share it.  If you are able to attend the event, we think you will have a blast as the show is a COMIC BOOK show in all sense of the word- most of the 100 vendors are COMIC book dealers from all over the country, representing Modern Age, SIlver, aand Gold.  There will be a ton of Graphic Novels in the room, and bins.  Lots of HOT BOOKS, Variants, and new books.  Of course there will be great toys, statues, toys, anime and more.
